Dima Leshchinskii, Ph.D., M.B.A.
Dima Leshchinskii has been teaching finance and economics since 2000 — first at HEC Paris in France, later at the Lally School at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in Troy, New York, and currently at the University of Maryland University College. Recently Dima worked at the financial consulting firm Cornerstone Research in Menlo Park, CA. There he consulted attorneys involved in complex multibillion dollar damages matters. He led teams of analysts in building financial valuation models of complex transactions, projects, and companies, both public and privately held; and in performing statistical analysis of financial data. He is interested in studying advanced valuation methods, in particular option-based valuation, the financing of innovation, and Real Options. His research papers on venture capital are published in scientific journals and as chapters in books. Dima was born in Russia. Upon receiving his degree in applied mathematics, he started his career as a scientist. He received his MBA degree from the University of Utah and his PhD in Management (Finance) from INSEAD, Fontainebleau campus. He has passed the Series 65 license exam. Dima is interested in reading, watching movies, and the outdoors – walking along an ocean shore or by a beautiful waterfall.
